Imam al-Jazari’s praise for the Qur’an bearer‏

Imam al-Jazari’s praise for the Qur’an bearer
Taken from the Muqaddimah of ‘Tayyibat al-Nashr.’
A person is not honoured or raised
Except by what he knows and has memorised
For that reason the bearers of Qur’an
Are the nobles of this Ummah and its righteous
And they are the people of Allah amongst Mankind *
And indeed our Lord has boasted of them

He spoke of them in the Qur’an, and it is sufficient
That He gives it (the Qur’an) to those He has chosen **
And in the Hereafter, it is an ardent intercessor
And its statement is something surely heard
By it a person is given the dominion and immortality
And likewise, he is given the crown of honour
He’ll read and ascend the ranks of Paradise by it
And his parents will also be clothed by it ***
So let a person strive to attain it
And let him never tire of its recitation.

* Due to the hadith: ‘Indeed Allah has people from amongst Mankind. The people of Qur’an, they are the people of Allah and His Specialties.’ [Ahmad, Ibn Majah]
** Due to the verse in Soorah Fatir:
ثُمَّ أَوْرَثْنَا الْكِتَابَ الَّذِينَ اصْطَفَيْنَا مِنْ عِبَادِنَا فَمِنْهُمْ ظَالِمٌ لِّنَفْسِهِ وَمِنْهُم مُّقْتَصِدٌ وَمِنْهُمْ سَابِقٌ بِالْخَيْرَاتِ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ ذَلِكَ هُوَ الْفَضْلُ الْكَبِيرُ
“Then We gave the Book for inheritance to such of Our slaves whom We chose…” [Fatir: 32]

*** Due to the hadith: ‘The Qur’aan will meet its companion on the Day of Resurrection when his grave is opened for him, in the form of a pale man. It will say to him,
‘Do you recognize me?’ He will say: ‘I do not recognize you.’ It will say: ‘I am your companion the Qur’aan, who kept you thirsty on hot days and kept you awake at night.
Every merchant benefits from his business and today you will benefit from your good deeds.’ He will be given dominion in his right hand and eternity
in his left, and there will be placed on his head a crown of dignity, and his parents will be clothed with priceless garments the like of which have
never been seen in this world. They will say: ‘Why have we been clothed with this?’ It will be said: ‘Because your son used to recite Qur’aan.’ Then it will be said to him:
Recite and ascend in the degrees of Paradise,’ and he will continue to ascend so long as he recites, either at a fast pace or a slow pace.’ [Ahmad, Ibn Majah]

The Most Evil of The People In Relation To Stealing‏

The Noble Shaykh Abdur Razzaaq Ibn Abdil-Muhsin Al-Badr (may Allaah preserve them both) stated:

"Indeed, from the greatest of mistakes, which some of those who pray fall into, is abandoning being in the state of ease in the Salaah. Indeed the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) considered the one who does that, to be from the most evil of those who steal. On the authority of Abee Qataadah (may Allaah be pleased with him), he said:

The Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) stated:

"The most evil of those who steal, is the one who steals from his Salaah."

The companions stated:

"Oh Messenger of Allaah, how does he steal from his salaah?"

The Messenger of Allaah stated:

"He doesn't complete his bowing nor does he complete his prostration."

Or He (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

"He doesn't straighten his back in the bowing and prostrating."
(Authenticated by Imaam Al-Albaani in Saheeh Al-Jaami' #987)

The Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) considered stealing from the Salaah more evil and severe than the stealing of wealth."

Student Of The Qur’aan Who Forgets His/Her Qur’aan.

Question: Some people memorize the entire Qur’aan or parts of it, but after a while they forget it, is such a person sinful for forgetting the Qur’aan?

Shaikh Bin Baaz: The correct opinion is that such a person is not sinful, however what is required from that person is to make an honest effort so that he/she wont forget it. The Prophet of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said

Refresh this Qur’aan (i.e. revise it) for by Allaah it leaves (the hearts of men) quicker than camels leave their shackles.

But what is even more important than the recitation of the Qur’aan is acting according to it and pondering upon its meanings.

Learn a lot of A hadeeth

From Sufyan who said:

‘Learn a lot of A hadeeth, indeed they are weapons.’

[From ‘Hileyat Al-Awaaliyah’ 6/362]

We ask Allah to cure al-Allaamah Ash-Shaykh Rabee‏

We ask Allah the Most High, The Lord of the Great Throne to cure al-Allaamah Ash-Shaykh Rabee and to haste his recovery.
Khaalid al-Ghurbaani (Admin of Aloloom) has mentioned that it has reached him that Ash-Shaykh Rabee, may Allah extend his life-span, has not come out of his house for about three days now due to sever sickness, so we ask Allah, The Lord of the Noble Throne to cure him.
Also today Ash-Shaykh Yahya al-Hajooree, may Allah preserve him, requested from his students to make du'a for the Father, al-Allaamah, Ash-Shaykh Rabee'.

"Indeed Allâh will help those who help Him..."‏

"Indeed Allâh will help those who help Him..."

______________

"Indeed Allaah will help those who help Him. Indeed Allaah is Exalted in Might, All-Powerful." [Soorah Hajj 22:40]
Imaam ash-Shanqeetee (d.1393H) - rahimahullaah - said:
"Allaah - the Mighty and Majestic - explains in this noble Aayah that He has sworn to help and give victory to those who help Him. It is known that the help and victory of Allaah comes by following what He has prescribed, obeying His commend, avoiding His prohibitions, by helping His Messengers and their followers, aiding His Religion and fighting against His enemies and overpowering them - until the word of Allaah is made uppermost, whilst the word of His enemies is debased and mode low. Then Allaah - the Most High, the Most Magnificent - explains the charecteristics of those whom He has promised would receive His help and victory, distinguishing them from others. So He said - explaining those to whom He swore He would aid and give victory to - because He is the one to aid and give victory:

"Those who, if We establish them in the earth, establish the prayer, give the Zakaat, enjoin the good and forbid the evil." [Soorah Hajj 22:41].
And that which this noble aayah indicates is that whosoever aids Allaah, then Allaah will aid Him. This is clearly explained in other than this place, such as His - the Most High's - sayings.

"O you who Believe. If you help Allaah, Allaah will help you; and establish your feet firmly. But those who disbelieve, for them is destruction and Allaah will make their deeds vain." [Soorah Muhammad 47:7].

"Indeed, Our Word has gone forth of old for our slaves, the Messengers, that they will certainly be victorious; and that Our forces will certainly be triumphant." [Soorah as-Saafaat 37:171-173].

"Allaah has Decreed: It is My Messenger and I who will prevail." [Soorah Mujaadalah 58:21].
"Allaah has promised to those amongst you who believe and do righteous actions that He will grant you the khilaafah in the land." [Soorah an-Noor 24:55].

And in His - the Most High 's - saying:

"Those who, if We establish them in the earth, establish the prayer, give the Zakaat, enjoin the good and forbid the evil." [Soorah Hajj 22:41].

In it is a proof that there is no promise from Allaah of His help, except by establishing the Prayer, paying the Zakaah, enjoining what is good and forbidding what is evil. So it is these whom Allaah will establish upon the earth and will strengthen His Word through them. However, those who do not establish the salaah, nor pay the Zakaah, nor enjoin the good nor forbid the evil, then there is no promise for them from Allaah that He will aid and grant them victory. They are not from His party, nor are they his friends -those who have the promise of His help and victory. Rather, they are the party of Shaytaan and his friends. So if they were to expect the help of Allaah and the fulfillment of His promise upon them, then their example is like that of a hired worker who refuses to do the labour that he was hired for, yet he expects to be rewarded. So whosoever is like this, then he has no intellect!"1
So the help that we so desperately await, and the victory that we so strongly desire will only come about by: "The Muslims returning and repenting to their Lord, correcting their 'aqeedoh (beliefs) and cultivating themselves and their families upon the pure and correct Islaam; putting into effect Allaah - the Most High's - saying:
"Never will Allaah change the condition of a people, until they change themselves." [Soorah ar-Ra'd 13:11]."2
