Shaykh Ayed al Rubaye Recitation

A Mother’s Advice To Her Daughter For Marriage‏‏

‘Abd al-Malik (Radhiyallahu Anhu) said: “When ‘Awf ibn Muhallim al-Shaybani, one of the most highly respected leaders of the Arab nobility during the jahiliyyah, married his daughter Umm Iyas to al-Harith ibn ‘Amr al-Kindi, she was made ready to be taken to the groom, then her mother, Umamah came into her, to advise her and said:

‘O my daughter, if it were deemed unnecessary to give you this advice because of good manners and noble descent, then it would have been unnecessary for you, because you posses these qualities, but it will serve as a reminder to those who are forgetful, and will help those who are wise.

‘O my daughter, if a woman were able to do without a husband by virtue of her father’s wealth and her need for her father, then you of all people would be most able to do without a husband, but women were created for men just as men were created for them.

‘O my daughter, you are about to leave the home in which you grew up, where you first learned to walk, to go to a place you do not know, to a companion to whom you are unfamiliar. By marrying you, he has become a master over you, so be like a servant to him, and he will become like a servant to you.

‘Take from me ten qualities, which will be a provision and a reminder for you.

‘The first and second of them are: be content in his company, and listen to and obey him, for contentment brings peace of mind, and listening to and obeying one’s husband pleases Allah.

‘The third and fourth of them are: make sure that you smell good and look good; he should not see anything ugly in you, and he should not smell anything but a pleasant smell from you. Kohl is the best kind of beautification to be found, and water is better than the rarest perfume.

‘The fifth and sixth of them are: prepare his food on time, and keep quiet when he is asleep, for raging hunger is like a burning flame, and disturbing his sleep will make him angry.

‘The seventh and eighth of them are: take care of his servants (or employees) and children, and take care of his wealth, for taking care of his wealth shows that you appreciate him, and taking care of his children and servants shows good management.

‘The ninth and tenth of them are: never disclose any of his secrets, and never disobey any of his orders, for if you disclose any of his secrets you will never feel safe from his possible betrayal, and if you disobey him, his heart will be filled with hatred towards you.

‘Be careful, O my daughter, of showing joy in front of him when he is upset, and do not show sorrow in front of him when he is happy, because the former shows a lack of judgment whilst the latter will make him unhappy.

‘Show him as much honor and respect as you can, and agree with him as much as you can, so that he will enjoy your companionship and conversation.

‘Know, O my daughter, that you will not achieve what you would like to until you put his pleasure before your own, and his wishes before yours, in whatever you like and dislike. And may Allah choose what is best for you and protect you.”

Can The Jinn Kidnap Humans – Al´Allâmah Muqbil bin Hâdî al-Wâdi´î

Can The Jinn Kidnap Humans – Al´Allâmah Muqbil bin Hâdî al-Wâdi´î

At the time of ‘Umar, a man was kidnapped by the jinn and stayed with them for four years, then he came back and told the people that some mushrik jinn
had kidnapped him, and he stayed with them as a prisoner, then some Muslim jinn launched a campaign against them and defeated them, and brought him
back to his family.

This was mentioned in Manaar al-Sabeel and elsewhere.

Manaar al-Sabeel, 2/88. The story of the kidnapped man was reported by al-Bayhaqi (7/445-446) and its Isnaad was classed as Sahih by al-Albaani in
al-Irwaa’, 6/150, no.1709

RULING OF BELCHING/BURPING

RULING OF BELCHING/BURPING

QUESTION:

WHAT IS THE RULING ON BELCHING/BURPING? IS THERE A SPECIFIC HADITH IN RELATION TO IT?

ANSWER:

FROM THE HADITH OF IBN UMAR: “A MAN BURPED WHILE IN THE COMPANY OF THE MESSENGER OF ALLAH صلى الله عليه وسلم, AND HE SAID TO HIM, ‘SAVE US FROM YOUR BURPING, FOR THE MOST SATISFIED ONE IN THIS LIFE WILL BE HUNGRY FOR THE LONGEST TIME ON THE DAY OF RESURRECTION.’ (TIRMIDHI #2478)

SO BURPING IN FRONT OF THE PEOPLE IS MAKRUH (DISLIKED) AS SHOWN IN THE ABOVE SAHIH (AUTHENTIC) HADITH.

A Deserted Sunnah :Saying, “ Bismillah “ when you Trip
Abu Al-Malih narrated that a man said: “I was riding behind the Prophet (sallahu alayhi wa salim) and his mount stumbled. I said: “May the Shaytan perish! The Prophet (sallahu alayhi wa salim) said: “ Do not say” May the Shaytan perish,” because when you say that he swells up so much that he becomes like a house and says,” By my power.” Rather say say: Bismillah (In the name of Allah), “for if you say that the Shaytan shrinks until he becomes like a fly.”
Collected by Abu Dawud (4982 ) and Ahmed (5/59)  graded Sahih by Shaykh Abdul Muhsin Al-Abbadd (may Allah preserve him)

Benefits for this topic:
·         Shaykh Abdur Rahman  ibn Salih Muhiyudeen (may Allah preserve him) said, “Saying Bismillah when you trip is Sunnah as reported in this hadeeth. All mishaps that befall the Muslim are result of Allah’s decree not Shaytan.  [ Q/A between Abu Aaliyah and Shaykh Abdur Rahman via telephone.]

·         As-Sindi said:  Shaytan says, “By my power” because Shaytan believes the person has made Dua against him. The person made dua against the Shaytan with the belief that this mishap occurred, because of Shaytan.

·         “ Shaytan shrinks until he becomes like a fly.” Means nothing is attributed to his power, because Allah’s remembrance makes him reduce in size and humiliates him.[ Hasheeyah Musnad Imam Ahmed 5/59]

·          “May the Shaytan perish!...” refers to his destruction. When a person makes dua against Shaytan because of a mishap and calamity, he believes that Shaytan is the one who caused it to take place.

·         he swells up so much that he becomes like a house… means he grows mighty, strong and arrogant. [ Awanul Ma’bude sharh Sunnan Abi Dawud]

·         Sheikh Muhammad Adam (may Allah preserve him) views that saying, “ Bismillah “ can  also be done, when a person is walking with his child in the street and the child trips, or when a car accident happens, or a blowout on a tire, etc.

Ruling on listening to talks by Salafi Scholars but translated by hizbis! Shaykh Ahmad Bazmool

Shaykh Ahmad ibn ‘Umar Baazmool (hafidhahullaah Ta’aala)

Question: What is the ruling on benefitting from the books of the scholars which are translated into English, however the translator is not known or he has errors in manhaj?

Answer: If the book is a Salafee book, however the translator is unknown or he has errors in manhaj, it is not permissible to benefit from these books, it is not permissible to benefit from these translated books. This is because they take the ruling of the translator.

So if it said that the author of the book is Salafee and the translator, even if he is a hizbee, “he is just a mere translator”; we say the wisdom behind this is that we cannot be sure that this translator will not distort the meanings to coincide with his falsehood. And we have been trialed and have found many translators translating live for some of the Salafi scholars, translating that which is falsehood. It has been related of one Salafi scholar that he was teaching Tawheed and with him was a translator whom he did not know, so he (the scholar) was affirming Tawheed (in the lesson) whilst the translator was affirming shirk, as if it was the words of this scholar until someone let the scholar know what was happening!

So look how these individuals deceive. Then we will give you an example; the people of innovation explain the book of Allaah and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allaah - salla Allaahu alayhi wa sallam – and with this we do not accept from them.

So likewise the translator, if he is in opposition (to the truth) or unknown, we don’t accept from them.

The Signs of Ahlul Bid'ah‏

Shaykh Saleh al-Uthaimeen (rahimahullaah) said:

لأهل البدع علامات ، منها

(1) أنهم يتصفون بغير الإسلام والسنة، بما يحدثونه من البدع ، القولية ، والفعلية ، والعقدية .
(2) أنهم يتعصبون لآرائهم ، فلا يرجعون إلى الحق وإن تبين لهم .
(3) أنهم يكرهون أئمة الإسلام والدين .
الفتاوى : (5/90ـ91

Ahlul Bid'ah (they) have signs:

1) They attribute themselves to other than Islaam and Sunnah, which they have innovated, from Bid'ah : al-Gawliyyah (statements), al-fi'liyyah (actions), al;'aqdiyyah (beliefs).

2) They have bigotry to their opinions, so they do not return back to the haqq if its clarified to them.

3) They have hatred for the Imaams of al-Islaam and Deen.

The Sly Heretic Bidah

The Sly Heretic Bidah

It is reported that Mufaddal b. Muhalhal – Allāh have mercy on him – said:

If the heretic started mentioning his bid’ah right at the beginning of the sitting, you would be on your guard and flee from him, but what he does is begin by mentioning hadīth from the Sunnah. Then, he slips his bid’ah in on you. It might then stick to your heart; but when will it leave your heart?

Ibn Battah, Al-Ibānah Al-Kubrā, 2:444.

Some youths run away from saying "I am Salafi"‏

Shaikh Yahya An Najmee Mufti of Jaizan (south of Saudi Arabia ) was asked :" Some youths run away from saying "I am Salafi" what is your advice on this matter?"

The Shaikh answered "Why do they run away from that? Do they think Salafeeyah is incorrect in any way? It is only an ascription to what the companions of the Prophet were upon and those who followed them from the scholars, jurists, scholars of hadeeth, and scholars of tafseer; those who are known for their correct belief in every time and place. Those who follow the truth i.e the book of Allah and the authentic sunnah of the Prophet upon the understanding of the companions! So is this ascription to these people incorrect in any way to the point that one runs away from it? To Allah we come from and to Allah we return.

As for the one who follows the way of the salaf and says I am Salafi inshallah Allah we hope for him good. As for the one who runs away from this ascription maybe he/she may be punished for it.

The Most Evil of The People In Relation To Stealing

The Most Evil of The People In Relation To Stealing

The Noble Shaykh Abdur Razzaaq Ibn Abdil-Muhsin Al-Badr (may Allaah preserve them both) stated:

"Indeed, from the greatest of mistakes, which some of those who pray fall into, is abandoning being in the state of ease in the Salaah. Indeed the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) considered the one who does that, to be from the most evil of those who steal. On the authority of Abee Qataadah (may Allaah be pleased with him), he said:

The Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) stated:

"The most evil of those who steal, is the one who steals from his Salaah."

The companions stated:

"Oh Messenger of Allaah, how does he steal from his salaah?"

The Messenger of Allaah stated:

"He doesn't complete his bowing nor does he complete his prostration."

Or He (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

"He doesn't straighten his back in the bowing and prostrating."
(Authenticated by Imaam Al-Albaani in Saheeh Al-Jaami' #987)

The Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) considered stealing from the Salaah more evil and severe than the stealing of wealth."

When and How a Man Attains the Reality of Eemaan

Al-Fudayl bin Iyaad said:

لا يبلغ العبد حقيقة الإيمان حتى يعد البلاء نعمة والرخاء مصيبة وحتى لا يحب أن يحمد على عبادة الله

A servant does not reach (taste, acquire) the reality of eemaan until he considers tribulation (calamity) to be a blessing and comfort (opulence) to be a calamity, and until he loves not that he should be praised for worship of Allaah.

Advise Against Watching Sports Events‏

Advise Against Watching Sports Events

By Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih Al-‘Uthaymeen(May Allah rest him Jannah)

Questioner: Oh Noble Shaykh, is it permissible to watch sports events on T.V?

Answer: What is the benefit in watching these events?

Questioner: Another person and I differed about this issue. I said it is a waste of time and the players' ‘Aurah is exposed; as they wear shorts which reach the middle of the thigh. He said no, it is permissible to watch these games. Therefore I said I will pose the question to ‘Uthaymeen.

Answer: The Prophet peace and blessings be upon him)said,

Whoever believes in Allah and the last day must say good things or else remain quiet.”[ Bukhari 6018]

Since Allah prohibited us to speaking only good speech,and then more so for actions. Watching these games and tournaments have many dangers;

1.      Wasting time. You find a person afflicted with watching these matches   totally engaged. So much so he wastes too much time, and perhaps he misses the prayer in congregation or misses its fixed time.

2.      Watching people who expose half of their thighs. The thigh is considered a part of the ‘aurah with most of the people of knowledge. We hold the opinion that it is Haraam for the youth to expose any part of their thigh and in particular anything high above the knee.

3.      Glorifying and praising a major sinner or  an atheist. Consequently a person who watches these games might praise someone unworthy of praise. And no doubt this is dangerous.

4.      Wasting money. Watching these games result in wasting money; as the T.V uses electricity.  A television consumes electricity even though it may be a small amount it still does. Furthermore it accumulates a bill for something which brings no benefit in this life or the next. Hence it is considered a waste of money.

5.      Arguing and disputing.  We have one person cheering and supporting this team who win. Another person cheering and supporting the other team. For this reason a dispute happens between them with a long drawn out argument.

Due to all of these reasons I advise everyone and in particular the youth to avoid spending time watching these matches and tournaments. Also I advise the people to take some time and think about the gain in watching these games. What is the benefit? Additionally, you find some people playing  in these events racing, competing with each other or being carried on one’s shoulder all of which contradict the sense of honor and manhood.
